Martial Arts

When martial arts were first created centuries ago it was based on developing warriors for the simple purpose of survival.  While there is a place for that attitude in today's society, it actually is more important to focus on the development of the students character, especially when that student is a child or teen-ager.

The martial arts should only be used for defensive purposes, it is not meant for bullying.  A true martial artist is very humble and unassuming.  He/She avoids places, environments and situations that are known to foster problems or confrontations.  Avoidance is one of the best forms of defense.
